The nomination period for the NCAPA “PA of the Year” award is being extended to Thursday, June 6.
NCAPA members are encouraged submit nominations via the online form as soon as possible. To be eligible for the PA of the Year award, an individual must be a Fellow Member of NCAPA in good standing for a minimum of five years and be licensed by the NC Board of Medical Examiners. Self-nominations will be accepted.
The PA of the Year award honors a physician assistant who has demonstrated exemplary service to the PA profession and the community, and who has furthered the image of the physician assistant profession while providing significant contributions to the health of the citizens of North Carolina.
The 2013 PA of the Year award recipient will be honored at the NCAPA 2013 Summer Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC with a special ceremony on Sunday, August 18. In addition to a plaque, the recipient will receive a complimentary conference registration and one night’s lodging associated with attending the awards presentation. Plans also include placing a permanent plaque at the Stead Center where the name of each year’s recipient will be added annually.
