NCAPA Poster Session

NCAPA will host a Poster Session during the Winter Conference in February of 2019. The poster session has been developed through a partnership between the NCAPA and the NC PA Program Directors Council as an opportunity to increase student/faculty/practicing clinical PAs scholarship.

Criteria for Submissions

There will be four categories of submission, each with separate guidelines (below), but the following apply to all:

  • Abstract – Microsoft Word document, size 11 font;
  • 400-500 word maximum, excluding references;
  • Three-five references maximum per abstract;
  • Graphs, charts, and/or photos are not allowed as part of abstract;
  • Research studies must have results (preliminary results are acceptable);
  • Authors can submit previously presented/published study, but preference will be given to those not yet presented/published.

Abstracts will be part of a blind review by PA program faculty volunteers. Reviewers will not review abstracts from their own institution or practice.

Within each category, there will also be a Student sub-category, in which the first author must be a student and which cannot include “literature reviews” or similar submissions created as master’s projects. Only student submissions done during completion of a PA education program can be considered. Undergraduate student research is not eligible.
