The NCAPA Membership Committee works to strengthen membership recruitment and retention strategies. The committee annually evaluates the perceived value of NCAPA membership through member surveys and provides input on member promotions and events, including the PA of the Year Award. The committee also coordinates non-CME learning opportunities for members and assists with the Annual Member Meeting.
Committee Roles and Expectations
The committee consists of a Chair and 5-8 members, typically. The committee meets an average of six times a year through virtual zoom meetings.
The Membership Committee Chair is expected to attend all NCAPA board of directors meetings (4-5 times annually) and works with the NCAPA Membership Services Manager to create the annual budget and to assist with planning committee meetings and board reports.
Committee members are expected to attend all committee meetings, review and reply to all committee communications, and participate as necessary and possible at any planned membership events.
