SUMMARY:Suturing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The suturing workshop is a 3 hour workshop designed to review basic suturing techniques including simple interrupted\, continuous\, vertical and horizontal mattress\, deep dermal\, and subcuticular stitches. During the workshop we will briefly discuss the different types of suture material\, in addition to the different suture techniques\, and the indications for the use of each one. The majority of the time is spent practicing hands-on techniques by suturing pigs feet and becoming more comfortable with instrument tying and hand tying. The student to instructor ratio is kept low for maximum interaction and support.
