The NCAPA has become a leader in offering peer-led, peer-driven, quality continuing medical education. Starting in 1976 with our first “beach conference,” our in person educational offerings have grown to two annual conferences, a number of regional workshops held throughout the year in North Carolina, and online educational opportunities available on demand, anytime, anywhere.

Annual CME Conferences
NCAPA hosts a Winter Conference each year, typically held in late February and/or early March. The focus is on core medical knowledge and provides a review of all organ systems based on the PANRE Exam blueprint. The conference includes between 27-31 credits of Category 1 CME, as well as additional workshops. A Poster Session to highlight PA scholarship and innovation is also held at this time, in conjunction with the Winter Conference. Winter conference attendees are offered a wide variety of knowledge and professional development opportunities – a great way to begin a new year!
NCAPA also hosts an Annual Summer Conference, held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. You might be asking why a North Carolina organization holds its annual conference in a different state. Our conference attendees love a beach venue and the Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach is the only place we’ve found that can accommodate our entire conference, which includes five days of general sessions, a number of workshops, a large exhibitor hall, as well as over 1,000 attendees and guests. PAs and NPs travel from all over the country to access our top quality CME while still enjoying plenty of opportunities for beach activities and family time. The conference usually includes 27-30 credits of Category 1 CME, as well as additional credits available through workshops. It’s a week you don’t want to miss!
Regional CME Workshops
Regional workshops are held throughout North Carolina. PAs from across the state develop and review the content and identify topics of interest to PAs and NPs. Prior topics have included joint injections, suturing, and pharmacology. Find out what workshops will be in your area here.
NCAPA now offers the same quality CME you can access live, but now at the convenience of your schedule, in your place of choice. PAs and NPs no longer have to travel to enjoy our content and lively sessions. Our NCAPA Online CME is at your fingertips!
