Virtual Summer CME Conference

The NCAPA 2020 Annual Summer Conference is going completely virtual!

We at NCAPA love our Summer Conference. We value our Summer Conference family of attendees, exhibitors, and volunteers and have everyone’s safety and health as an utmost concern. Due to suggested guidelines from the CDC and NC DHHS, as well as many travel restrictions that our attendees are facing, we have decided to forego a live Summer Conference this year and move to a virtual only format. And though we won’t be able to enjoy the beach and social activities our attendees have grown to love this year, we’re excited to be able to offer you a different type of engagement, with the same outstanding CME in the comfort of your own living room – or even at the beach!

And speaking of the beach, Kingston Resorts has generously offered to honor the NCAPA Summer Conference room rate, so you could still go to Myrtle Beach and access the conference from your room while enjoying the roar of the ocean. The Virtual Summer Conference will be hosted via Zoom from Sunday, August 16 – Wednesday, August 19th and will be a combination of live sessions each day and pre-recorded sessions available on-demand. The conference will offer 30 Category 1 CME credits, with additional credits available through workshops.

Last but not least, we’ve extended our early bird rate to July 15th. And if you’ve been waiting to join or renew your NCAPA membership,  purchase a membership with registration and save even more.

We know you must have a lot of questions. Please see our FAQ for some answers.

Please note: If you had previously registered for the in-person Summer Conference and wish to transition to the virtual conference or need to cancel your registration, please complete this form.

Hotel Information

Even though our Virtual Summer Conference can be accessed  from the comfort of your own home – or anywhere else with reliable internet service – we know that some of our attendees may still want to enjoy the beach throughout the week. Kingston Resorts in Myrtle Beach will honor the NCAPA Summer Conference rate so that you can still have an opportunity to take a vacation while accessing CME.

  • To book your room, enter all the nights you would like to stay from August 16 – August 21 only and the discounted rate should be applied if you book through this link.
  • If you wish to arrive earlier or stay later than the conference dates, after you’ve booked your room, call the hotel directly at 843-449-0006 and add any additional nights to your reservation. The additional nights will most likely be at a higher rate.

Exhibitors can apply online. If you prefer to mail your application in, you can download an Exhibitor Registration form and email the completed application to Caroline Griswold at

This activity is pending review by the AAPA Review Panel. The NCAPA plans to request 30 AAPA Category 1 CME credits for the general sessions and additional AAPA Category 1 CME credits for workshops. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Credits awarded by the AAPA are accepted by the ANCC Certification Program and the AANP as Continuing Education (CE) credits for nurses and nurse practitioners.
