Jacqueline Moreda is the recipient of the NCAPA Endowment 2019 Student Grant for a PA student at Gardner-Webb University. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Exercise Physiology and volunteered in multiple areas, including college student mentoring, leadership groups, and at local hospitals and care centers. She gained experience as a Certified Emergency Medical Responder and surgical assistant. In PA school, Jacqueline served as her program’s student representative to the NCAPA Board of Directors, and participated in the local soup kitchen and health awareness events. Her career goals are flexible; however, she has been inspired by seeing firsthand the rural health needs in primary care, women’s health and mental health. Congratulations to Jacqueline, and best wishes for success in serving those populations.
The NCAPA Endowment board gratefully thanks all who have made generous donations that make these scholarships and other grants possible. Please consider supporting PA students and practicing PAs who continue to do the work of providing excellent health care services in North Carolina.
