
Emily Adams
Emily has led the organization since March 2016. She provides oversight and leadership to the organization while working closely with the Board of Directors. Emily advocates for PA practice rights as a lobbyist and represents NCAPA and the PA profession throughout the state, as she is committed to ensuring that North Carolina is the best place to be a PA. She lives outside of Chapel Hill with her husband, Josh, and two children, Callum and Elsie. She tries to get outside whenever possible to enjoy all the natural beauty NC has to offer.

Karyn Davis
Karyn began working at the NCAPA in October 2021 and provides administrative support to NCAPA staff and operations. She graduated with a B.S. in Human Services with a focus in Nonprofit Administration from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA, and has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than ten years. Karyn grew up in New Jersey and spent 16 years in the Atlanta area before relocating to North Carolina with her family in 2011. She has two adult sons, Brendan and Cameron, and currently lives in Apex with her husband, Kyle, and two cats named Misty and Jasmine.

Rosa Navarro
Rosa is a native Texan. She began working at NCAPA in January 2022 and is responsible for the development and execution of NCAPA’s conferences and online courses and ensures alignment with NCAPA’s strategic goals. Rosa earned her undergrad and Master of Arts degree in Sociology from East Carolina University, is Lean Six Sigma certified, and is experienced in project management. In her downtime, she enjoys the outdoors, time with friends, and traveling.

Caroline Purdy
Caroline began working at the NCAPA in April 2019 and serves as the staff liaison to NCAPA members, student members, and NCAPA regional chapters. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from NC State and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from UNC Charlotte. She is currently completing her Masters Degree in Community Psychology with an emphasis on advocacy for marginalized populations. A born and raised North Carolinian, she enjoys spending time outdoors from the mountains to the sea and sampling classic NC offerings. Caroline currently lives in Durham with her husband and their bulldog Moses.

Pauline Bulala
Pauline recently joins NCAPA in February 2023, after graduating with a BA in Biological Sciences from NC State University and having worked in the nonprofit sector as the lead Communications Coordinator for a free and charitable clinic. Pauline has held multiple roles as a Digital Media Marketing Lead and Director of Social Media for health-driven initiatives. She looks forward to combining her knowledge in marketing, digital, and social media strategy with her passion for the PA profession to advocate for the PAs in North Carolina and beyond. Pauline also has patient-contact clinical experience, from being a CNA to being the Lead Medical Assistant at an OBGYN/IVF clinic & hopes to attend PA school in the future. In her free time, Pauline enjoys exploring new restaurants in Raleigh with her husband and binge-watching new TV shows.
