Continuing Medical Education

The NCAPA is a leader in offering peer-led, peer-driven, quality continuing medical education content in the right format and at the right cost. Since our first in-person event held in 1976, we now host two annual conferences, various workshops, and offer online/on-demand education throughout the year to enhance professional development opportunities.

Summer Conference

Provides PAs and NPs an opportunity to enhance their skills, stay up to date on innovative practices, and engage with their peers in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The general session and workshops provide opportunities to explore best practices and new research while earning Category 1 CME credits.

Winter Conference

Once focused solely on re-certification, this all-virtual Conference has now expanded its content and provides an overall review of all organ systems. It offers PAs and NPs an opportunity to access core medical knowledge commonly seen across primary care conditions in real-time, from anywhere you are.

Online CME

The Online CME Catalog the place for NCAPA’s on-demand offerings. When you are unable to travel or attend in-person, this is a great option to meet CME requirements. NCAPA offers individualized or bundled CME that is easily accessible whenever you need it and from wherever you are.

CME Workshops

NCAPA Workshops are hands-on, interactive, and skills-based CME events that provide skills development and medical knowledge on a variety of topics with skilled trainers and speakers. Workshops are held locally at the Stead Center and at times regionally throughout North Carolina.

Member CME Benefits

NCAPA offers discounts on all conferences, workshops, and online CME to our members. Attend just one annual conference and you’ve more than covered the cost of a one-year membership.

Sponsor & Exhibitor Opportunities

NCAPA appreciates the support we receive from sponsors and exhibitors to help ensure successful events. If you are interested or have questions, contact Matt Van Wie.

Speaker Proposals

Interested in speaking at one of NCAPA’s conferences? Please complete a Speaker Proposal Form. If you are selected, you will be notified directly.

PANRE-LA – https://www.nccpa.net/news/panre-la/

In 2019, after years of investigation and gathering feedback from PAs, NCCPA adopted a new content blueprint for the recertification exams—one that focuses on core medical knowledge versus the more general blueprint used for PANCE. The core medical blueprint has been updated based on the practice analysis conducted earlier this year and includes detailed information on the diseases and disorders and knowledge levels that will be covered on the test center PANRE and the longitudinal PANRE-LA.

For information about national PA certification requirements, please visit the NCCPA website or email nccpa@nccpa.net or call NCCPA at (678) 417-8100.
