The NCAPA is a leader in offering peer-led, peer-driven, quality continuing medical education content in the right format and at the right cost. Since our first in-person event held in 1976, we now host two annual conferences, various workshops, and offer online/on-demand education throughout the year to enhance professional development opportunities.

Summer Conference
Held annually in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as a hybrid event. This five-day conference brings together between 800-1,000 individuals from all over the country to access top-quality CME while creating family time and opportunities to enjoy beach activities. Here’s what previous attendees had to say:
- “I have been coming to this conference for the past 8 years and I prefer it to the National conference. Love the hotel, the venue and the lectures. Hard to beat time to learn and go to the beach.”
- “We have been very impressed with the organization and execution of the conference. All the speakers have been very knowledgeable and were able to convey their knowledge in a very articulate manner. I can only imagine how much work has happened behind the scenes, but the results were flawless. I hope to be back next year!”
- “I have been coming to this conference for probably 20 years. I LOVE this conference. Good bang for the buck. The speakers are wonderful. The locale couldn’t be any better. I hope to keep coming! I look forward to it every year. Thank you NCAPA!”

Winter Conference
Held annually, Winter Conference is an all-virtual event. The agenda includes a combination of scheduled, virtual sessions and on-demand sessions, giving access in real-time from anywhere you are. Lectures are available to registrants for up to 90 days in the Virtual Attendee Hub.

Online CME

CME Workshops
Workshops are held locally at the Stead Center and at times regionally throughout North Carolina. NCAPA’s Educational Development Panel, comprised of PAs from across the state identify topics of interest, select speakers, and help develop and review the content.
Member CME Benefits
NCAPA offers discounts on all conferences, workshops, and online CME to our members. Attend just one annual conference and you’ve more than covered the cost of a one-year membership.

PANRE-LA – https://www.nccpa.net/news/panre-la/
In 2019, after years of investigation and gathering feedback from PAs, NCCPA adopted a new content blueprint for the recertification exams—one that focuses on core medical knowledge versus the more general blueprint used for PANCE. The core medical blueprint has been updated based on the practice analysis conducted earlier this year and includes detailed information on the diseases and disorders and knowledge levels that will be covered on the test center PANRE and the longitudinal PANRE-LA.
