CME Workshops

NCAPA CME workshops are created in partnership with different presenters, organizations, and PA programs throughout the state to offer you the CME you’ve come to love, close to home.

Virtual Radiology Workshop

Saturday, October 14 | 12:00pm-3:00pm

This is an all-virtual event on the fundamental approach to Radiology.  This workshop will concentrate on the basics of reading x-rays within different systems of the body including Neuro (CT and MRI review, bleeds, CVAs, tumors, and infections), Head and Neck (salivary glands, thyroid, parathyroid, and using ultrasound probes), Chest (general approach to x-rays,  congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and coronary artery disease), Gastrointestinal (general assessment and common pathology of liver, gall bladder, colon, and spleen), and Genitourinary systems (general assessment and common pathology of adrenals, kidneys, and bladder).  

At the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to:  

  • Identify various bleeds.   
  • Understand the general approach to chest x-rays.  
  • Assess the various GI and GU issues a patient may have.  
  • Identify common pathology. 
  • Identify which ultrasound probes to use.

CME/Accreditation

CME/Accreditation – This activity has been reviewed by the AAPA Review Panel and is compliant with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 3 AAPA Category 1 CME credits.

PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation. Approval is valid from 10/14/2023 to 10/14/2023. AAPA reference number: CME-209854.
