2019 NCAPA Endowment Student Grant Winner | Laura Trisch, High Point University

February 19, 2020 by Kat

Laura Trisch is the 2019 NCAPA Endowment Student Grant recipient from High Point University. As an undergraduate student at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA, Laura played women’s basketball with a top-ranked NCAA team. Somehow, this dedicated and devoted student athlete also earned dean’s list honors in all eight semesters and graduated Summa Cum Laude, while also volunteering as a peer mentor, a big sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, and in the Athletes Helping Athletes agency.

Now in PA school, Laura is a student government member and social committee chair for her PA class. Her career aspirations remain flexible, though early plans point toward primary care or emergency medicine. Without a doubt, whatever path PA Trisch follows, her patients will benefit from this incredibly hard-working, driven professional—congratulations Laura!

The NCAPA Endowment board gratefully thanks all who have made generous donations that make these scholarships and other grants possible.  Please consider supporting PA students and practicing PAs who continue to do the work of providing excellent health care services in North Carolina.
