The board of the NCAPA Endowment extends its congratulations to 2019 scholarship recipient Taylor Poe from the East Carolina University PA program. Taylor attended Virginia Tech, earning dual degrees in both Psychology and Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise. As an undergraduate, she worked with recovery efforts for people who suffered adult and child trauma. In PA school, her leadership and involvement continued, as she volunteered in multiple community care clinics and outreach centers, and in her own program’s student activities. At the time of the application, Taylor was still undecided about a specific area of practice, but she expressed a strong devotion to patient advocacy. Her compassion and passion will certainly lead her into fulfillment of those desires–we wish her well in that journey.
