The NC COPD Taskforce, Wake Forest University Office of CME, and UNC Charlotte Department of Public Health Sciences are conducting a daylong CE program concerning COPD for providers from South and North Carolina. Healthcare and public health practitioners from both states are being brought together to learn the most current information about COPD from the local, institutional, state, and national perspectives. At the end of the program, breakout sessions will help define strategies to improve COPD outcomes through collaboration between healthcare and public health efforts. Summaries of the presentations and breakouts will be published in a White Paper entitled “COPD in the Carolinas – Burden and Strategies to Improve Outcomes”.
