Congratulations to PA student Meredith Abernethy for receiving the NCAPA Endowment 2019 Student Grant for Elon University. Meredith attended NC State University, where she majored in Biological Sciences-Human Biology, and participated in various community service projects and the Pre-PA club. She participated in a medical service trip to Guatemala, which she describes as being a highlight of her experience, reinforcing her commitment to a career in medicine. In PA school, Meredith serves on her class’s student society leadership board and has been actively involved with the Open Door Clinic in Alamance County. Meredith aspires to work in a primary care setting in NC and continue volunteer service in her community. Any town or city in this state would surely benefit from her compassion and dedication!
