Why you love being a PA and why membership in your state Academy is so vitally important.
Our November I Am NCAPA highlighted member is Molly Calabria. Molly has been involved with NCAPA ever since she was a student in the Campbell University PA program in 2012. She currently lives in Fuquay Varina with her husband and daughter and works in Durham, specializing in Family Medicine. Molly loves “being a PA because (she is) constantly learning and gets to form meaningful relationships with patients.”
Besides being a dedicated healthcare provider, Molly has been a dedicated advocate for PAs and the profession. She was the Campbell Student Representative to the NCAPA Board of Directors in 2013 and her involvement with NCAPA and the PA profession has not stopped since. Molly believes that “the NCAPA is an amazing advocate for PAs across the state, ensuring we are able to practice to the full extent of our training.” She has been the Chair of the Student Affairs committee since 2016 and also currently serves on the Government Affairs committee. And, in 2020, Molly will begin a two year term as a Director-at-large on the NCAPA Board of Directors.
NCAPA couldn’t do all that we do without people like Molly. She was inspired by the leaders of NCAPA early in her PA career and she has now become a leader herself. Thank you for your commitment to your patients and the PA profession, Molly. We look forward to working with you much more in the future!
