The NCAPA Endowment board congratulates Tricia Tiu as the 2018 NCAPA Endowment Student Grant recipient from the UNC-Chapel Hill PA Program. Prior to PA school, Tricia earned a BS in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University, while also completing an internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital as a clinical research assistant. She then worked for eight years in clinical research, mainly focused on oncology trials.
While in NC, Tricia has participated in the Rural Interprofessional Health Initiative, which emphasizes collaboration across health professionals in delivering quality healthcare. Her career goals include remaining dedicated to the oncology field and continuing to advance and integrate research alongside her clinical practice. There is no doubt that Tricia has a promising career ahead of her, serving as an example for PAs who desire expanded roles in the public health and biomedical research arenas.
The NCAPA Endowment board gratefully thanks all who have made generous donations making these scholarships and other grants possible. Please consider supporting PA students and practicing PAs who continue to do the work of providing excellent health care services in North Carolina.
