NCAPA is dedicated to highlighting the work, dedication, and passion shown by PAs and members across the state, especially within our Regional Chapters. The NCAPA has been highlighting these Regional Chapters, and spotlighting their goals and events.
This month, we are highlighting the Triangle Area Physician Assistants (TAPA)!
As stated by TAPA President, Hayley Knostman, DMSc, PA-C, CAQ-Psychiatry, “TAPA continues to work to build the sense of community in the group post-COVID. Currently, we partner with industry dinners every other month for members to attend, learn, and network at. We are looking for suggestions for events and gatherings in our area that members are interested in attending and participating in.”
TAPA is located in the Triangle area, including Person, Orange, Durham, Chatham, and Wake counties.
As for upcoming events and involvements, Knostman reported, “We’re looking forward to PA Day at the NC Legislature on May 15th, right in our backyard in Raleigh, and looking at scheduling a TAPA day at the Durham Bulls this spring!”
The NCAPA asked TAPA what makes their regional chapter unique. “The Triangle area has one of the nation’s highest concentrations of healthcare professionals,” Knostman shared, “and our members represent a wide variety of specialties and healthcare practice settings, as well as a mix of experienced and newly graduated PAs.”
“We look forward to growing TAPA events and engagement this year, and are always looking for new ideas and suggestions from our members on how best to serve and represent the PAs of the Triangle area.” – Hayley Knostman, DMSc, PA-C, CAQ-Psychiatry, TAPA President
The NCAPA had recently highlighted TAPA’s Student Liaison officer, Ziad el Tannir, in January 2024. Click here to read the #IamNCAPA Member Highlight.
