AAPA HOD Candidate Platform Statements Available Now

May 17, 2023 by Pauline Bulala

Voting for the 2023 AAPA House of Delegates (HOD) representatives from NCAPA opens May 20 and closes June 15, 2023. The AAPA HOD is responsible for enacting policies and establishing the collective values, philosophies and principals of the PA profession. Elected delegates in North Carolina will represent North Carolina PAs and NCAPA at the AAPA HOD meetings.

The number of HOD representatives from NCAPA is based on the number of AAPA Fellow members in North Carolina. Currently, NCAPA elects 12 delegates, with the first 10 being seated delegates and the 11th and 12th serving as extra delegates that will rotate when a seated delegate leaves the floor. The delegates who are seated versus rotated are decided upon based on the number of votes individual candidates receive.

This is a two-year commitment to serve on the NCAPA delegation to the AAPA House of Delegates. Terms will start July 1, 2023 and run through June 30, 2025.

Only Fellow Members in good standing are eligible to vote and should look out for an email on May 20, 2023 containing an electronic ballot.
