2019 NCAPA Endowment Student Grant Winner | Jessica Veale, Duke University

February 11, 2020 by Kat

The NCAPA Endowment congratulates Jessica Veale as the recipient of the 2019 William Franklin Cobb scholarship for a PA student from Duke University. Prior to PA school, Ms. Veale graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in Clinical Laboratory Science. She served as a peer mentor and a student-administration ambassador. As a PA student, Jessica has devoted countless hours to hurricane relief efforts in eastern NC. She also participated in the AAPA-sponsored Project Access and joined many of her student peers in attending the NCAPA student leadership retreat. Jessica aspires to work as a primary care PA in rural eastern NC and to serve as a community leader and patient advocate. Her experiences and dedication will certainly be to her benefit. We wish her well in achieving these admirable goals!

The NCAPA Endowment board gratefully thanks all who have made generous donations that make these scholarships and other grants possible.  Please consider supporting PA students and practicing PAs who continue to do the work of providing excellent health care services in North Carolina.
