One of the primary goals of NCAPA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is to increase the number of minority/underrepresented students in PA schools. Several of our committee members are HBCU graduates who wished they had heard more about the PA profession earlier in college. NCAPA is dedicated to raising awareness about the PA role in the hopes of welcoming and supporting students from HBCUs.
With NC PA programs under one roof, plus an incredible lineup of practicing PAs, NCAPA leaders and mentors, PA students, and organizations, the HBCU Pre-PA Fair is the perfect opportunity to learn about the PA profession.

A recap of the 2023 Inaugural NCAPA HBCU Pre-PA Fair included a CASPA informational session, PAs and PA student panel, and rotations for one-on-one conversations with NC PA programs. It was a full day of networking, education, and community, emphasizing that representation in healthcare matters.
