This educational CME activity will provide an overview of the general physics, knobology, and develop a systematic approach to utilize point of care ultrasound (POCUS) into the modern medical practice, based on AAFP and ACEP recommendations for ultrasound instruction. The curriculum will provide an introduction to the current understanding of POCUS techniques via an interactive multimedia format using still and dynamic ultrasound imagery, audio narration, computer graphic imagery, animation, and live standardized patients. This multi-faceted educational delivery mechanism helps enhance the learner’s experience by providing a more in-depth approach to the POCUS skill set.
